I just can't sit back and keep posting here after what LJ did. It was wrong on so many different levels. They have a right to do what they want with their site... but I don't have to support it.

So - go on and find me over on greatestjournal and start watching there. In the meantime, you can still read the stuff I have archived at silentobsession.com.

I really am sorry that I had to f-lock... it actually hurt me to do it, to make that decision not to post here anymore.

I hope this works. i have become an official journal person. I just want you to know how much I enjoy your work and I will follow you any where. I hope that this means that you will friend me and I am willing to produce ID. though I am not sure how to do that on a journal considering LJ won't sent me the confirmation email to officially show my name as "strangevisitor7". Argh this is harder than i thought

I don't know what to think about it all. Yes, LJ has a right to do whatever they want. Yes, pedophilia is icky. But the blanket deletion of any account that had certain words in their interests is just stupid.

*sigh* I don't particularly want to switch to another journaling service, though I will sign up if everyone flees to there and I have no other way of keeping track.

Hmmm... Yeah, if you feel it necessary, put links here for the GJ stories. I doubt I'd sign up for a fandom e-mail group, since I'm pretty much done with them cluttering up my in-box with crap.

Just for curiousity's sake, since you've signed up at GJ, what's the user interface like?

The user interface is exactly the same as LJ. Even uses the same lj commands for cut, user, etc. It's so simple to switch over that I don't even feel bad about doing it. I'll miss the people over here that choose not to read me over there... but I hope they'll all at least follow my links when I update.

Will you be updating your personal LJ at all, to tell us how you're doing? Or will it be a complete move to GJ?

I went ahead and signed up for a gj account. Not sure if I'll really use it, but it'll be nice to have in case things get worse over here. I do hate change, so getting use to an new interface doesn't please me. Especially since I have everything set up how I like in on LJ in terms of layout, custom mood theme, icons, etc. Then again, 2000 icons is a mighty big draw.

Of course, I had to change my username, which sucks. I'm malana42 over there.

Yeah, I think GJ is the best bet - easiest switch over, and I don't have to resurrect my yahoo groups. I've been playing over there all night (cause it beats reading all the new ways people have come up with to say 'I hate LJ'), and while I'm kinda missing the amount of control over how my journal looks, and a few other key features that are on LJ, I think its pretty good.

And, as always - 2000 user pics!!!!!

Plus, I got a new user name. I'm now 'emeraldspider' on GJ, because lyl_devil has been bothering me for some time.

WordPress and RSS feeds! That way, we can read the posts through a variety of channels, but the ToS for the content is much more flexible -- basically, whatever site/hosting you're using. I'd read, uh, blog.silentobsession.com or whatever. :D

But really, I love reading your fic and will follow it wherever you're comfortable.

I'm satyrnfive at GJ. I don't know if I'll actually use it though. We'll see.
